Died 21 January 1997 in Los Angeles, California, USA, of cancer.

Sister of Elizabeth Jane Young (later, actress Sally Blane); sister of actress Loretta Young.
Half-sister of actress Georgiana Young.

Married Carter Hermann, 1935; until Carter’s death, [?] 197?; daughter, Elizabeth Jane Hermann (later, actress Betty Jane Royale), born 12 October 1946; three other children.

Polly Ann Young appeared in her first film as a child extra in Sirens of the Sea (1917). More active in the 1930s than in the silent era, Young retired from motion picture work in 1941.
